الفضل في جمع المعلومات يعود الى أميره عند مضخة بئر سوداء في المدينة الجنوبيه الصغيره تسكمبيا بولاية ألباما الأمريكيه، بدأ مشوار واحده من أهم ملهمات العالم. بدأ مشوارها في يوم ربيعي مشرق من عام 1887. كانت السحب البيضاء المنفوشه تطفو فوق خلفية زرقاء، بينما الطيور ترفرف بأجنحتها بين أشجار البلوط و القيقب، و بات قريبا نمو الأزهار من خلال التربة الخصبة لتنتج مجموعة من الألوان. كل ذلك لم يسمع ولم يرى من قبل الفتاة اللطيفة ذات السبع سنين.\\\\\ الى جوار هيلين كيلر العمياء و الصماء تماما كانت تقف امرأة شابه، آن سوليفان. التي كانت هي أيضا تعاني مشاكل بصريه سابقا. الآنسه سوليفان كانت تسكب بثبات ماء باردا في احدى يدي الفتاة بينما تنقر بتكرار شفرة مكونة من خمسة أحرف على اليد الأخرى_ببطء في البدايه، ومن ثم بشكل سريع. تكرر المشهد مرارا بينما ناضلت هيلين بألم من أجل أن تنهي عالمها الصامت. و بشكل مفاجئ وصلت الاشارات بمعنى الى عقل هيلين الواعي. عرفت بأن

قصد به ذاك الشئ البارد الذي يجري على يدها. العتمة بدأت تتلاشى من ذهنها كما تذوب قطعة ثلج تركت بالخارج في يوم مشمس من شهر مارس. بحلول الليل تعلمت هيلين 30 كلمه.\\\\\هيلين آدام كيلر ولدت كطفلة سليمة في 27 يونيو عام 1880، لكابتين آرثرهيلين و كيت آدم كيلر من تسكمبيا. في سن التسعة عشر شهرا الواهن، ابتليت بمرض شديد أصبحت بعده عمياء و صماء.\\\\\في سن السادسه، أخذت الفتاة العمياء الصماء المتمرده بواسطة والديها الى الدكتور الكسندر غراهام بل ، الذي كان يتعامل مع الأطفال الأصماء في ذلك الوقت. و بسبب زيارتها تلك، انسجمت هيلين بحب مع معلمتها آن مانسفيلد سوليفان في 3 مارس عام 1887. و كانت تلك بداية علاقتهما الطويله التي استمرت 49 عاما . بعد تمكنها الاعجازي من التعلم السريع و تحديدا عند مضخة البئر البسيطه، أثبتت هيلين أنها موهوبه جدا حيث تعلمت مبكرا لغة الأنامل- تهجئة الكلمات التي تكتب على الكف- و بعدها بقليل تعلمت الكتابة. و مع نهاية شهر أغسطس، و في ستة أشهر قصيرة، عرفت هيلين 652 كلمة. كذلك قامت سوليفان بتعليم تلميذتها كيفية التحدث مستعينة بطريقة تادوما القائمه على تحسس شفاه وحناجر الآخرين عندما يتحدثون.\\\\\في سن العاشرة،أتقنت هيلين لغة برايل و كذلك الأحرف الأبجديه اليدويه و تعلمت أيضا كيف تستعمل الآلة الطابعة. لم تستخدمت هيلين لغة برايل لتقرأ باللغة الانجليزية فحسب، بل أيضا بالفرنسيه، الألمانيه، اليونانيه، و اللاتينيه . في عمر السادسة عشر، تكمنت هيلين من الحديث بشكل كاف لأن تذهب الى مدرسة اعدادية و كلية. في عام 1904 تخرجت هيلين مع مرتبة الشرف من كلية رادكليف، لتصبح أول شخصية عمياء-صماء تحصل على درجة البكالوريوس في الآداب. وقد لازمتها معلمتها طوال تلك السنين، تفسر لها المحاضرات و المناقشات الصفية.\\\\\الفتاة الصغيرة، هيلين كيلر، أصبحت واحده من النساء الرائعات في التاريخ. كتبت 12 كتابا و العديد من المقالات . كرست حياتها من أجل تطوير أوضاع من هو أعمى و من هو أصم- أعمى حول العالم، تحاضر في أكثر من 25 دولة في القارات الخمس الرئيسية. أينما ظهرت، جلبت شجاعة جديدة للملايين ممن أصيبوا بالعمى من البشر .\\\\\في عام 2003، كرمت ولاية ألباما ابنتها هيلين بأن نقشت اسمها على العملة المعدنية الخاصة بالولاية.\\\\\معلمتها، آن سوليفان ، تذكر بتفانيها طوال حياتها، صبرها، و حبها لطفلة متمرده من مدينة جنوبية وقعت في عالم من الظلام.

It began one bright, spring day in 1887. Puffy white clouds floated overhead on a background of blue, while birds fluttered through oaks and maples and flowers burst forth from the fertile soil in an array of colors—all unheard and unseen by a pretty girl of seven./////Standing at the totally blind and deaf Helen Keller's side was a young woman, Anne Sullivan. Who herself was visually impaired. Miss Sullivan was steadily pumping cool water into one of the girl's hands while repeatedly tapping out an alphabet code of five letters in the other—first slowly, then rapidly. The scene was repeated again and again as young Helen painstakingly struggled to break her world of silence./////Suddenly the signals crossed Helen's consciousness with a meaning. She knew that "w-a-t-e-r" meant the cool something flowing over her hand. Darkness began to melt from her mind like so much ice left out on the sunny March day. By nightfall, Helen had learned 30 words./////Helen Adams Keller was born a healthy child on June 27, 1880, to Captain Arthur H. and Kate Adams Keller of Tuscumbia. At the tender age of 19 months, she was stricken with a severe illness which left her blind and deaf./////At the age of six, the half-wild, deaf and blind girl was taken by her parents to see Dr. Alexander Graham Bell, who was working with deaf children at the time./////Because of her visit, Helen was united with her teacher Anne Mansfield Sullivan on March 3, 1887. It was the beginning of a 49-year-long relationship/////After Helen's miraculous break-through at the simple well-pump, she proved so gifted that she soon learned the fingertip alphabet and shortly afterward to write. By the end of August, in six short months, she knew 625 words. Also, Sullivan taught her charge to speak using the Tadoma method of touching the lips and throat of others as they speak./////By age 10, Helen had mastered Braille as well as the manual alphabet and even learned to use the typewriter. ٍShe used Braille to read not only English but also French, German, Greek, and Latin./////By the time she was 16, Helen could speak well enough to go to preparatory school and to college. In 1904 she was graduated "cum laude" from Radcliffe College, becoming the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree./////The teacher stayed with her through those years, interpreting lectures and class discussions to her./////Helen Keller, the little girl, became one of history's remarkable women. She wrote 12 books and numerous articles.She dedicated her life to improving the conditions of blind and the deaf-blind around the world, lecturing in more than 25 countries on the five major continents. Wherever she appeared, she brought new courage to millions of blind people.///// In 2003, Alabama honored its native daughter on its state quarter./////Her teacher, Anne Sullivan is remembered for her lifetime dedication, patience and love to a half-wild southern child trapped in a world of darkness.
